2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Alarm install

Where can I find wiring diagram for a 97 12v for alarm install purposes? Where do alarm installers splice into the factory harness, under the dash or in the engine compartment somewhere?

give me a few days to look at mine, and I will let you know... . I think it is up under the dash, along the steering Column. .

You will splice into the factory harness under the dash.



As far as a diagram, you only need to know a handful of wires on the truck (maybe 15 or so) depending on the alarm you are installing.

I used a system from Crutchfields and purchased the optional interconnect harnesses. A very sweet install with only a couple of wires getting spliced. Total cost about $250.
