I know there is a few alaska bombers up here and I was wondering if they had group get togethers and what it would take to get initiated into the gang?
Send an email to Mike Tibor (midnite). He keeps the AKTDR mailing list and will add you no problem. His email is -- email address removed -- (I think this is correct, if not look up his user name and get it there).
I guess I am kind of the lead organizer for the group, and I am trying to put together a meeting for mid April right now. Keep an eye on the local and regional chapters forums as I post there before a meeting.
Maybe the post will help drum up some interest... . Speedo?? Midnite?? CBrant???? Clayton? guys you out there, want to have a meeting????
Hear Ye Here Ye the next meeting of the Alaska Diesel BOMBERS is at Gus's house on Sat 20 April at high noon. Anyone that wants to come is welcome. See the map on the other post in this forum. .
As alwasy I will be going to the windbreak with who ever meets me at the Fred Meyer on Muldoon at 10:15AM.
By the way we do not have a project for this meeting yet. If anyone has anything they want to install or whatever let me know here on in a PM. First come first served...
Hey guys I think we have a project... the user who was known as Mirsh, now Puffin Smoke is going to install stacks. (Hey Speedo. . you don't mind doing a bit of welding do you??) . If that falls through Clayton has a B1 Bomber turbo to install. . (hey Clayton bring it with you I want to see it) along with a bunch of fuel press related items (banjo bolts, pusher pump and guages). If the stacks go quick we could probably do some of Claytons stuff.
Okay guys the stacks are out as they will not be here in time for install. That means we move down the line to the next guy..... Clayton and his project. I know he has a bunch of stuff. . turbo, fuel system upgrades... I just don't know what we are going to tackle at the meeting. I will send him an email right now and when we get it figured out I will post here again.
Big Daddy - A few of us have been in to see Jeff. I did not know he existed prior to most of my Bombing but I do now. I think we may have a meeting at his shop one day tis summer as he is going to be getting a Dyno and is going to have a dyno days for all brands... ... Who will be king of the hill??
:{ Sorry folks, looks like I have to bow out of a meeting again, I have caught that nasty cold that is going around and I'm sure no one wants to get that from me. I am a real person and not just a figment of someones imagination, and would like to hook up with everyone sometime. Thanks, Lars.
that would rock if jeff got a dyno. Ive met a few other bombers through jeff. Its nice to know ppl with similar interests to hear what works and what doesnt. most everyone is willing to take the time and explain whats up.
Well guys had a good time at the meeting yesterday. Learned alot of things that I didnt know that I do now like the about the banjo bolts and being able to drill them. Never expected my lift pump to be bad out of the 5 of us that check them. Guess good thing that I brought the pressure checker that I bought. Thanks to JR2 he had a used one on hand that he let me buy from him. Guess im gonna have to get me a spare to keep on hand myself and get some fuel pressure gauges. You guys were really great. Gus thanks for including us new guys into the friendly enviroment. I enjoyed it. Cant wait till the next one.
Im posting the few pics that I took. I didnt take that many but here they are.
