Just got a reply from the DOE about NEST.



The Department of Energy does not recruit directly for NEST positions. NEST is a voluntary assignment, not a direct hire position. Accordingly I would recommend that you apply directly to DOE for a related federal position or you apply to one of the national laboratories as a contractor. If you are selected, then you can volunteer for the NEST program. You can find information about DOE vacancies through the OPM website or through the various lab websites.

In my post that you selectively quoted, I also mentioned SPCC plans which are ANTI-POLLUTANT!! When I first responded, I was relatively new to the TDR. I did graduate from OSU; now I work for Hanover Compression on the west side of Houston. Look at www.lstdr.org, they will have another meeting the third Sunday of this month at the cracker barrel on I-45 N. You are welcome to come by and meet some of us (myself, gitchesum, okie-go, rustyJC, etc... ).
