Tomorrow Night is the first night at Alaska Raceway Park...come on out

Wednesday, May 25th is the first in the Truck Performance Race Series. This is a new series this year, & will include two classes - the Diesel Truck class & the Gasoline Truck class. Trophies will be awarded to the top two racers in each class. The entry fee is $35. The pit gate opens at 5:00 pm, with test & tune starting at 6:00 pm. There are a total of three events during the season, this one in May, the second on June 22nd, & the final event on July 20th. Bring your truck, & come on out to the racetrack. TRUCKS ONLY will be admitted on these dates.





While the weather does not look very good, I am going to go anyway. Hope to see some other there. This will be my first time actually racing so it should be fun. I guess its time to figure out how this bracket racing thing works.

Well JR2, how did you do last night? What were other people running? I was told maybe a couple SRT10's may be out there and was curious what they're running.

We had about 6-8 trucks for the test and tune and only 4 signed up to race (two dodges and two fords). One of the fords blew a head gasket during test and tune. So we had three diesels and one ford lightning for the races. In the end I won with a 14. 02 time to a 14. 00 dial in. Kind of neat to win, but it only took two runs to do it, we need more guys next time.



After the race I got a cell phone call and a budy blew his transmission up by Talkeenta so I went to Wasilla, borrowed Bob Robertsons tralier and went and got him. I did not get home till 2 AM. Fun day, you have to make it next time.

I'll definately try and make the next all truck night. I was just lazy this time... I didn't feel like unloading my camper and loading it right back up for this weekend. :-laf
