Competition NHRDA, this weekend at Mission Raceway

Competition I just want to say....

Just a reminder for you guys the LAST Truck Performance Night is next week Wednesday the 20th at Alaska raceway Park. Gates open at 5pm, test & tune at 6pm, and races at 8pm I believe.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Northern Diesel Performace is sponsoring the race so come and show your support!

Invite the gassers too so we can smokem' out :D

See you there.

I will not be there, I will be on the slope working. I hope you all get out and race so that we can have some of these races next summer. The two I have been to where a blast and more people will only make it more fun.

Did you get that fuel tank out of your truck so you can run??

John aka JR2

Myself and AK Ram will be there. I guess that makes three so far.....

I think AK was going to try and rattle some cages over on the Chevy and Ford forums to get some more participants.

The more the merrier!

I am going to go on the Ford site and do some rattling. I know the Jim's will be there, but it would be nice to get a couple others there.

I will check with the CinC (Commander-in-Chief) House to see if this is doable. I will also see if those folks I am bringing to the meet & greet will come.

This sounds cool!!

Cheers,

GIT ER DONE guys, we can not let Team Jim win this time. I don't want them to be able to say they won 2/3 races.

You didn't miss a thing John... . RAINED OUT! #@$%!

I think their trying to re-schedule in August... anybody have the details?

That is what she told me as well. The Northern Diesel guy really wants to sponsor a race, so they are going to reschedule for sometime in August. She said to recheck the website schedule next week for the date.

Sucks she didn't offer our money back. What if you can't go in August? There won't be another one. At least we are guaranteed to have a good showing of diesels at the reschedule. Pretty nice crowd showed up tonight that are already paid.

Good news, i got there with my friend right at about 7:05 and they were locking the gate. I saw alot of diesels driving back toward the Glenn and i knew it was over, oh well got to scout out some hunting spots.

Chris

Sorry to hear it was rained out, at least that means I might have a chance at making the next one. I suspect it will be part of the tesn&tune on Aug 3, but I am just guessing here.

DoubleJ - how is my drag comp doing, you melt anyting yet??

If you haven't melted anything with all the runs you've made I should be fine for a couple runs. Actually, since I didn't get to run it at the track I'm going to send mine in for the "Drag" update. It does feel stronger and build more boost on 5X5 than mine does. Just screwing around as I headed out to the track I hit 45psi at about 3/4 throttle so I had to back off a few clicks on Turbonetic boost controller to bring it down to 40.

This is from Jim over on The Diesel Stop:

Well we tried, they had the track Vac out, lights and speakers up but the rain would not stay away. So a few good friends and I packed it up and we went to my work shop and had a few drinks while we looked at my motor and BS for a few hours.

Well, I think I'm going to re-schedule for the 31st of Aug, that should give me enough time because I have to leave for a 10-day business trip Sunday morning. Thanks to all who came to the track and got soaking wet and those who came over to the house for some drying off .

I never got an invite, how about anyone else? I think Jim was a little discouraged when all of us DODGE guys showed up :-laf

Will mark the 31st down on the calander. Have to get my $35 worth of tire burning :D

I doubt that, he just LOVES to race. I bet if you asked him he would have said "come on over". Of course maybe he is nice to be because I have a Ford too, I know he is wanting to sell me some parts.

Anyway if its rescheduled for the 31st I am out again as that is my wedding anniversy and I can not see taking my wife to the drags and still being married after that.

When I raced him early in the year he would beat me off the line and I would blow by him at 100 ft. Even his Dad made a comment like "the first two seconds of the race are the best for me, thats when I am ahead of you". I thinkhe picked the wrong motor if he want to go fast. He did say that he was considering a cummins in another truck.
