Yesterday a fire broke out in the bosque along the Rio Grande River in the south valley of Albuquerque. Details on last nights news stated the fire started in a shop where " a type of diesel fuel was being manufactured from grease". One officer was stating that there was a very suspicious device on the premises with flammable components, making it sound as if these guys were linked to Al-Qaida. There were comments made also about welding in the shop so that was probably the spark that started it all off. Isn't it ethanol that is used to cut in with the oil to make the mix?
Burned around 80 acres and there were lots of people and livestock evacuated. It took the help of 3 helicopters to knock it down. It is just a tinderbox here right now.
