Alga in tank,Pull Tank???

Do I need to drop the tank and clean it our just put treatment in the tank and change filters clean everthing else?? Im putting a 2mic filter after this ourdeal. . The crap in my fuel system took out my injectors

Power Service 911 should work and a good canister style filtration system.

I have noticed over the years that the guys with FASS systems (with filters) have few fuel (debris)system issues.

Pumped fuel out of tank and it smells sweet like sugar? cut Fass filter open and it looked like syrup in the bottom and it smells like sugar.



I Dont think its algea?

Buddy I used to work with had that happen to his gasser. . my synopsys was. . mollasses. Had to get a new module, clean out tank, fuel rail, managed to save injectors somehow. When the tank was just about dry inside the stuff started to crystalize as I watched it!! Paid me good for a few days of swearing and cussing !!:-laf

The stuff in the bottom of my filters looks like clear syrup. . I will drop the tank today and clean inside

Its not algea, Someone put brown sugar in my tank Its like syrup and I tasted it and it was sugar... Fuel is still clear tank has no algea inside just sugar,, buttom of the filters look like they have syrup in them. .



This is going to be a ***** to clean out all this stuff.

I'm still trying to fight off what I believe is algae growth in my aux tank, bought this "stuff" that cost $105/ gallon, have to woder if it's done anything yet. Do a search here I posted a pic of a fuel filter from my aux tank, still picking up parts of this stuff for whatever reason. Thread I started was called "What is this"? Has pics of the filter there.

I've had microbes in the fuel before and the best thing to get rid of them is Biobor JF. At least for me that is... .....

The guy who I bought my truck from said he had a algae problem all $5500 worth. Injectors, fuel line, pump, and lines, pull aux tank and had cleaned. Moral of the story he said. Switch tanks. Second advice (I guess he's a ole diesel man) a pyrometer.
