I see lots of lift kits and brake upgrades on TV, but I never see or hear them talk about realigning the suspension. With a suspension lift or new brake system (complete) does the truck need an alignment if it didn't before?
My understanding is that an alignment would be necessary with a lift kit if it substantially changes the geometry of the suspension. To my knowledge, a brake upgrade does not require an alignment.
I put a Kore Recon kit on my 05 and took it in for a alignment. It was just slightly off and they put it back to factory specs. The truck runs perfect and the tire wear is perfect. I think it's good insurance due to the fact the tires are so expensive.
