Looking for advice on Tire upgrade for 03 4x4 HO Quadcab. Stock tires are lacking traction despite having plenty of tread. Interested in BFG KO's, Toyo A/T, or Nitto. Looking to go with a 285. What are your opinions and experiences? Thanks for the input.

I have the 285 BFG's on my truck (see pic's in sig link below) and I'm very pleased with them. I was surprised at how well they handle in town and on the highway. We just got back from a trip to Colorado pulling our trailer from the Phx metro area and I was extremely impressed with how they handled the trailer since cross winds can be pretty severe crossing the reservation north and/or west of Flagstaff. A guy with the user name "PKnoerzer" has some 295 Nitto's and he's really happy with his tires as well. He has some good pic's in his reader's rig's.

I just got back from putting about 4000 miles on my new Nitto 295's. They look great on the truck. When I mounted them up they took maybe an ounce or so, a tire to get balanced. They go down the road smooth and straight. I can feel a little softer ride that the OE Mich's but I upped the air to 65 and feels good. I just ran about as fast as I could from Chicago to Denver non stop and am very happy with the tires. Can't wait to get them offroad or in a little snow to try them but from what I hear they are great. Well, I am leaving for Seattle on Sunday. Hope I don't wear these things out before it gets white in Colorado.
