The only problem I have had with the FASS was that once over the winter when I went to work at 630am it was -14 (so it had been colder that night) the truck ran for about 8 miles before the fuel completely gelled up and ran the motor out of fuel. A couple of notes: I had 20K miles on the filter, the tempeture drop caught everyone of guard so the fuel pumps didn't have the apprriate additives for that tempature, and I did not hook up the optional heater lines to the radiator. I had run plenty of time the year before around -4 degrees with no problems.

I love my FASS and wouldn't switch it out.

Just curious if you are still using the original equipment fuel heater/filter unit under the hood?

i have fass for six months. i could not be more completely satisfied. i just got my truck back from the dealer yesterday. had a new injection pump under warranty. fass is hook up to original eqipment fuel heater/filter. as long the lines and seals are not touched on the pump the pump should be under warranty. tomjohn

Fass

Thanks for the info. I decided on the FASS for several reasons, not the least of which was the positive feedback here. I also have a good dealer close by with ATS in Arvada, CO. Took several hours to get in and running. Only problem was one of the flange fittings provided failed. (a trip to the hardware store) :) 15-16 psi PERIOD! Have'nt been able to get it to drop below 15. It does seem to run alittle smoother and less smoke on cold start. About to hit the road and I'll get a good test, MPG etc. Thanks again

I ran -20* with no heater, but was running antigel additive.

I plan on running a 12-volt self adhesive pad heater... if I ever decide I need it.
