Thanks for the reply. I was leaning toward the black face guages because I think they give a better stock look with my 02. But, I was afraid they might be too hard to see. I havent actually seen a guage installed, other than in a picture on the web. Since I dont think you really need to focus on the exact number, but just see the position of the needle, I think the black face will make sense for me.

TRat I have been using Isspro EV Series gauges about 6 years and have

no problem seeing them. P/S I am 65 yrs young.

I really like the white gauges, they are easy to read, especially at night. But, my '01 has black, so that is what I bought in order to keep things matched up. I bought my gauges used with a pillar mount and just mounted them temporarily, not hooked up except for the lights. Didn't like them there. Took too long for the old peepers to focus on them, plus I couldn't read them without lifting my head up somewhat with these progressive lenses. I ordered a dash pod and mounted them there, once again only with the lights and found I liked them much better there as they were much easier to focus on.

One other dislike about the pillar mounted gauges: Those pillars are thick enough that it is easy enough to "hide" a car behind them as it is, and I couldn't see adding any more stuff there. Just my two cents worth, your opinion may differ.

I'm 65+ and like my Westach pillar mount white face. I can see the gauges and the hood just fine.

I matched the gauge face in truck, Black, Auto meters. I am in correct age group but I feel that has nothing to do with it.

I'm a couple of years past 70 and can't see as good as I used to. I have Braille gauges. I don't know how they look, but they sure feel good.

I have exact same setup as Gary. Only prob I have is with bifocal's adjusting to looking out ahead of truck and then back at guages on pillar. the Westachs have been doing a great job for me. They also match the dash well.
