I have been kicking around putting in an allisin 1000 in my 99 ram. I've not had the stock one fail yet but I'm soon to go over the gvw. The stock trans has some shifting problems. Not shifting from 1st to 2nd right ( free wheeling when I let up on the fuel or higher rpm's then most shifts). Shifting out of 2nd at to low of rpm ( will shift into 3rd below 20 mph under almost no pull) shift in and out of 3rd when pulling my fifth wheel at around 20 mph) Shifting in and out of overdrive around 45 mph.
Ive taken it to the dealer and they say its perfict on the computer and to a trans shop with no better results.
I have an Izusu with the allisin 1000 and the shift points are so much better.
Has anyone done one of these conversion that would have any input on pro or cons?

I run a TST, 4" pipes in my 2wd, air ride seats (bolstroms) on board air with self leveling air bages, but stock other than that.
