Is anyone on the forum aware of any sections on TDR referencing the company CA Conversions?

Yeah, we discussed it before here on the Forum, but the conversion is so incredibly expensive that it is almost Nonsens to do it. One must be a real die-hard fan to justify the cost.

It’s not worth the money. Build your transmission with Goerends for less than half the money and have a better transmission.

Interesting, yeah overkill for most budgets. I had just not noticed the company before. A Goerend would be nice to have for sure.
The previous owner of our truck had installed the Banks Powerpack system, a BD Diesel exhaust brake and several transmission upgrades (torque converter, valve body, TorqLoc System, pressureLoc) to the 47RE in 1999 that have been holding up sine we bought it in 2011 with 107K on the odometer. I did put on a Goerend deep pan on a couple years ago, along with the ATS GM SOLENOID BLOCK CONVERSION KIT, mishimoto transmission cooler and PDD Transmission Cooler Lines. Due to work and illness we have only put 33K on the truck since.

My tow-able is a older small 26ft 5th wheel, rarely with a jon boat behind to the mountains in warm weather.

So, the transmission build only has 30K on it? I assume it was rebuilt at that time as well. I would ditch both the BD lock’s, get a Goerend VB, put a TC switch on it, and roll on.

We bought the truck from a dealer used car lot in 2011. Then were soon after able to track down the previous (original) owner that had the receipts for the add on items installed in 1999. However the paper does not cite the mileage when they were added.
