Looking at buying an OLD travel trailer

I am beginning to dable in early 90s diesel pushers. Most of these have the 4 speed Allisons with NO lock-up in the torque convertors. Is there a way to update these units to a T/C that has a lock-up either manual or automatic???

Most of the units I am talking about have the 190 or the 210 Cummins. About 72 mph, the little "B" is turning around 2500 rpm because the T/C has no lock-up.

Any ideas??

I would think that Cummins would run faster then your gardian angle could fly!

think about it, isn't 72mph fast enough for a big square box flying down the road?

How about one of those Over Drive units, Gear vendors is a name that comes to mind.

Barry,

A buddy of mine is looking for a newer used Alpenlite or similiar cab over camper with a slide out. Any ideas on where to look?

Thanks,

Ed
