Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Allison Transmissions?

So I hear a lot of stuff about ATS, DTT, SC, and BD but has anyone thought about or installed an Alison behind the cummins?



I know it is not a direct bolt in but just curious. I have a lot of friends who don't own cummins engines but say good things about the Allison trany's.

Allisons are good trannys, better than the our stock ones, however, they won't hold up to the abuse of the after market power enhancements either.

Well that is the answer I was looking for.



I never did think it would be a viable solution but it was worth a question. Being young and stupid enough to get an auto in the first place I just had to ask.

Autos are awsome. You just need to build them right. Sticks have problems too.
