Allow me to Rant!!!!! (short)

O. K. Guess I went thru the Second Gen. baptism this weekend. Or you could call it the luck of the Irish. I finally find a second gen. outfitted with what I want and at a price that I want to pay. It only has 89,000 on the clock by the original owner. But did he have the fuel return line replaced, HE!! NO!!!!!!!! I got to do it. He had every other recall item done but this one. And as an added bit of info to anyone who has NOT had to do it yet... ..... The supply is 3/8 and the return is 5/16!!!!!! Thought I could get away with using 3/8 on both... ... . DDDDOOOOHHHHH still leaked. Quick trip to the marine supply store (USCG Type A-1, SAE-J1587..... I think) for 5/16, drop the starter again, remove the brake booster again. 35 min later no leaks!!!!!!!!! Oh well, gave me a chance to get up close and personal with my new ride.



P. S. Go to carwash and wash THOROUGHLY the underside before doing the work... ... makes things a LITTLE cleaner.

Congrats on the new ride! Are you going to bring it to the meeting Sunday morning and show it off?

Yep..... That I will. I was hoping to wait until Sunday to be able to change it at MDW's place. It just got to bad, leaving an ugly spot in my drive way. Since this is fixed, I talked TxRam into bringing his transmission gauge to check my pressure on the trans. Hopefully I will also drop the pan and change filter and fluid. Hope to see you there!!!!
