This past Monday, I was on my way home and stopped at Auge's Dodge here in Belen, NM to get information and to register for their upcoming (hopefully) TDR Ralley . Their sales manager, Dave, told me I needed to fill in an entry form for a chance to win a new Dodge 1-ton with the Hemi engine (or $30,000). I filled it in and, lo and behold, my entry was pulled out of the box. So Auge's gave me two tickets to last night's New Mexico State Fair Rodeo, a great Levi Jacket, and the chance to throw 5 large dice into the bed of the Red Rodeo Ram. All I had to do was spell D O D G E with the 5 dice.



I didn't win the new Ram - I came home in the same thing I went to the rodeo in - my '98 Ram - still very happy and really not disappointed. What did I lose - nothing. What did I gain - a really neat jacket and free tickets to the rodeo.



But since I'm such a cheap date, I also went to a car sale where they advertised "drive a used car and get two tickets to the NM State Fair. " I went over, told the salesman that I only came to drive a car - I didn't care which one - and get the two free tickets.



So wifey and I went to the Fair and the Rodeo for free, and almost won a new Ram. It was a great afternoon and evening.
