Alternate fleetgard fuel filter for 00-01

Saw this question on another post and figured I'd post the # for the "warm weather" fuel filter for 00-01 trucks.



There are 2 filter choices, the standard -FS19579- thats good for all weather and another one -FS1261- thats good to around 15 degrees and warmer I believe. The 1261 is about 6 dollars cheaper than the standard filter and uses only different seals. My truck never sees temps this cold so I use the 'warm' one, Cummins NW pointed it out to me last trip in.

Are these standard filters or the Stratapore?

Yeah,I've been doing the same thing. Late last year while I was in Cummins NW,the guy let me look through their filter catalog and I saw the cheaper filter listed. Turned out they stocked it,so I've been buying it since.

Here is another number to add to the mix. The part number that I got from the local Cummins store is FS1268.



I looked up all three on Fleetguard's web site and they are all good numbers. It looks like the FS19579 is the latest and is meant to replace the other two.
