Last night, a cable TV repair truck was parked on our street with its hazard lights on. The lights were flashing alternately, left and right, like other emergency vehicles. Is there a replacement flasher unit that would allow the hazard lights on the Rams to operate alternately? Thanks.

Greg, I used to run some when in the fire service on my private vehicle, they were called wig-wags and they were found in the back of an emergengy mag. They are hard on flashers and our state has a law that they can only be used for emergency response vehicles.

Cheers, Kevin

Greg - You need to use an alternating flasher, and you'll need to cut the wiring at the lamps, and youll need to put in an additional switch.

Or you can check out various out of the box flasher assemblies from GALLS , http://www.galls.com or similar.

This is usually legal, works well too... .

Actually I don't think it will be as easy on our trucks. The FCM controls the lamps, and anything you do to alter them is probably going to cause other problems.
