Has anyone out there used something other than the standard off the shelf sound deadening material? I was thinking of ice and water or something similar. I want to quiet down the dodge while im fixing the niagra style water leak.

Thanks

The guys that do alot of bigger high end stereo's use the DYNAMAT products to dampen road noise, and engine noise. Summit sells there line, and they offer door kits, hood liners, and much more. if you are serious about eliminating noise these guys can help.

Look on ebay too. I was getting ready to buy some sound deadener and decided to try a cheaper route first. 2 cans of the "Great Stuff" to fill cavities and then put a heavy movers blanket between the rear wall and seat. The blanket is sandwiched to where the back wall no longer vibrates. When I pulled the rear seat and drove to Home Depot, I might as well have had the windows down. It's unbelievable how much the seat deadens it.

On ebay look for "Nuprene" sound deadener and "Automotive Insulation" Dynamat is also sold on ebay but pricey.
