how big is that 1 wire Leece Neville alternator ?

you can buy the 8 groove pully at nappa part #M3060 gor the gm unit

regulator problems

your regulator is not seeing the battery voltage so it thinks the batteries are dead, and is putting the full voltage to the field windings to try to make as much power as it can.

Find the wire that gives the regulator the battery voltage and connect it to a keyed hot 12vdc + and it will make the regulator control the proper amount of output voltage.

Well I got it figured out for now , i solderd one connection instead of a crimp then swaped the regulator . My brand new Wells brand regulator seems to be junk #@$%! and of corse no return on electrical stuff:mad: :{

But the good news is that i ran my burb up to the corner and back with no issues

Now i need to figure why it sags with new springs on the rear drivers side

when i yanked it aparton the driverside 1/2 ton junk it had a add a leaf on that rear spring , why im not shure no sign of welded frame ,just a re welded shock mount that broke is all

My truck did the same thing after the swap. I thought it was the rear springs so I swapped sides with them, no difference. I then swapped sides with the HD Rancho front springs, no difference. I removed the left front spring, clamped it in a vise and added a 1/2" block that I had cut from plate steel. I used a longer axle locating pin bolt to attach it to the spring pack. That fixed my truck.

Thats what im thinking about doing is that ,whats goofy is the 1/2ton stuff had a add a leaf on the drivers side before hand only weldsi see is on the shock mount were some one added a plate since it looked like the mounting tab broke , then theres a cob next to it on top of the framewere they may have tried to re locate the shock mount , but nothing that looks bent or broke , so i guess i might go bigger shackels and a 1/2 or 3/4" block to correct it
