alternator wiring

I am doing a repower on a 1987 chevy suburban to a 1990 ctd. I would like to use the dodge alt. Does any one know where the green wire or the blue wire go to so that I can tie them into the Gm harness?

get a ext. regulator and harness the blue wire gets ign power and the green wire goes from the regulator to alt... .

I picked up a pigtail for an external regulater at the junk yard off a gasser. It has a red and green wire. So could someone tell me where on the pigtail the blue wire is located. On mine there is room for three connections but only two in the plug. The red wire is centered and the green one is off to the side. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

I know, I've only got two.



I'm just not able to tell from any of the diagrams which post on the voltage regulater to sent the keyed 12V to. I'm assuming it's the post in the middle of the connector?
