That's a straight deck. Depending on what you're doing with it, it can be lightened up a bit, lose the slide in ramps to start with. GVWR is 24,999.

TX, it will be a Hotshot rig, hauling just about anything under the sun. The ramps are a must for the once in a while car or tractor haul. I will definitely keep you in mind as the second rig is set to start the purchasing process soon.

Boy how time flies. Been running our one rig since mid-May and have yet to get out of my office job. Oh well, we are almost ready for me to kick this pig off. I take the driving part of my CDL on the 17th. While I am waiting to make sure I pass (shouldn't be a problem, but I hate getting bit by the unplanned for things), before I make another big purchase. Since we are definitely in the last throws of this, does anyone have anymore aluminum flatbed trailer manufacturers that they know of? The 2 stated earlier (Alumi-line and TNT) have been my only finds. Weight is a big issue with me on this decision. Aluminum usually comes in 2000 or so pounds less than steel. It only has to get me through my 2 years of staying under 26K pounds, but if it ends up being a very good trailer I will run it till it can not be repaired any longer. Thanks for any and all input.

For what it's worth I bought a Featherlite aluminum car hauler and it has been hell. A friend of mine picked it up in Ohio for me so I could not inspect it. I assumed that Featherlite's good name was enough to buy it unseen.



Got it home and found six cracked welds and when I looked under the trailer it looked like a two year old welded it.



The dealer and Featherlite refuses to repair or replace this trailer and it is in the hands of my attorney now. They say the welds are only cosmetic! By the way I happen to be a certified welder and I know what's cosmetic and what is structural.



In Featherlite's brochure and web page the CEO says that "Customer satisfaction is our passion" and "safety is our priority". Lotta BS!



I am not saying not to buy Featherlite, just be real carefull to inspect before you buy!

There is a trailer manufacturer called H&H I believe out of Iowa, they make every style of trailer and they can even make stainless steel trailers, but check them out I think if I remember right they make aluminum goosenecks.

EBY in Blue Ball, PA (no kidding that's the town's name!) manufacturers aluminum trailers and horse trailers. Their workmanship looks excellent. Try them.
