so I was plowing with my ‘93 W250 automatic this past weekend. It’s a gradual uphill push approx 1/4 mile and the snow was wet and heavy. At the end of the push, something smelled hot- first glance was at trans temp- okie-dokie at 140F. Then at engine temp- way higher than I’ve ever seen it.
A quick trip down the road lowered engine temp quickly.
Mods to the truck: 16cm turbo housing, ddg stage 2 injectors, fuel pin and gov spring, transgo transmission kit, Hughes torque converter and extra deep transmission pan.
Replaced the radiator about a year ago.
Anyone had real life experience with aluminum radiator and electric fan setup?
Other work duty for the truck is hauling a truck camper (3000#) while towing 5000# trailer with AC running in 100F temps.
Or I suppose I could simply plow in low range...
Thought I’d ask tho!
