I've been saving Al Pop Cans - crushed I have a lot of them - what is Aluminum going for now ???

Was $. 65 a pound here a few weeks back. " Dirty" alum/ brass radiators were getting $1. 20/ lb

If you have enough of it, aluminum is nice, but believe it or not I make more money scrapping cast iron. Most people pass it up and even though its only $. 07/lb here in STL, it adds up fast. I dug up 3 iron grates the other day at work with the escavator and dropped them in the truck. 780 lbs of cast iron sure makes a 2wd reg cab Ranger squat, lol. Easiest $55 i ever made. Paid my fuel cost for the week.



By the way, I think Aluminum is $. 73/lb here in STL, lol

Never checked cause here in Michigan a 10 cent tax is added to each can, which is refundable if you return the cans to the store.

My kids actually miss going to Meijer and feeding the cans to the machine! No such thing here in Texas (Meijer, or can deposits)
