Is there any interest in these? I am currently talking to a company about developing them. What would you guys like to see for options on a Aluminum Valve Cover? So far for designs I am thinking of straight ribs, flames, and my company logo (Black Sheep 4x4). I would need to get an initial order of 100 units. I would sell these at $350. 00 each. Let me know what you guys want and think.

valve cover

I would be interested with a Cummins logo on them, would this just replace the black plastic or eliminate the black plastic cover and stock valve cover?

Just a thought----

I have been following a thread on by- pass filtering systems. In which, they discuss an oil return tapping into the oil filler cap. Is it possible to have some sort of tapped port for such a function in lieu of fiddling with the oil cap?

This is the kind of input I am looking for. The cover will replace the entire valve cover. I will have it designed with a port for oil return.

I want one made out of aluminum to replace the plastic one. Let me know when and I will send you a check (obscene profits from my oil wells). Ready when you are.

Just a plain aluminum valve cover would be nice. I could polish it and always get a stick on cummins emblem just like the ones on our fenders.

I wasthinking of having an area machined on all versions so a guy could stick an emblem on it.

It would look a lot nicer if it was tall enough to hide the breather inside. I wouldn't worry too much about the finish. Most folks are going to finish them to their own taste.

I need to find a stock valve cover so I can get an idea of what this is going to entail. Anyone know where I can get one cheap? If it is feasable I will try to get it made to where the breather is inside the valve cover. My other Idea to hide the breather was to have the cover made tall enough, so that a nice stainless steel plate could be put over the top of it to hide it.

I think a nice way that would be inexpensive, easy to make, look good and easy for a DIY to install would be to make a replacement for the plastic top rather than a true valve cover.

Make it out of metal with dimensions that cover the OEM cover better and chrome it.

A louvered one would look sweet!

It would be easier but, I think people want an option of bieng able to hook up thier bypass filter systems. Some may want a taller cover so they can run agressive cams(don't know if they actually need more room to do this).

The cost of developing either one will cost about the same, so I think a full cover would be best and sell better.

i don't see any reason why the stock cover can't be drilled & tapped for a return fitting. . ? might not be enough meat for a larger [1/2"npt] npt fitting, but a orb fitting could be done
