Just askin', if I could produce a polished aluminum valve cover sheild , like the one that says Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel on a stock truck, would anyone else want one . I'm thinkin' about a 1/4" thick alum. piece , with Cummins Turbo Diesel milled into it then the words would be powder coated black and then the whole thing would be powdercoated clear , to keep the polishing to a minimum. While I don't have a set of the chrome covers , I just couldn't see puttin' that painted cover back on if I did . Besides a little polised alum. couldn't hurt . ;)

Horsepower gains should be in the 50 hp. range:rolleyes:

I would think 60 additional H. P. (At Least!) if you went with a Billet Cover!:D

The little cover on the trucks is alluminum.

If you take sone paint stripper and strip all of the paint off you will be suprised. The red paint is stuck tight, but nothing some stripper, scrub brush, and some elbow grease can't take care of.

After you get all of the paint off, take some MOTHERS alluminum polish to it and it looks just like chrome.

Mine took me about an hour to do.

I just hit it with a little MOTHERS every now and then to bring it back alive.

I don't have any pics right now but I can get some if you would like to see.
