My mods are in my sig. I primarily use the rig as a daily driver that I use to pull a 6000lbs trailer 2-3 times a month locally and at least once a month I pull a 16000lb gooseneck long distances. I am impressed with the pulling power and my cool egts but Im always wanting a little more power. :-laf I do not want to tap my injection pump wire because I feel it will compramise my reliability. (There must be a reason that pumps warrantees are void with wire tapped) I do not want to lose much in the way of MPG since its a daily driver. I have considered larger injectors but I am afraid to lose milage and I drive quite a lot. I drive about 45,000 miles a year and about 15,000 towing hard. Sometimes when I read this forum I think I bought the wrong goodies and played it too safe I want to keep it reliable.

I can't speak of the performance in an oar machine like yours, but the level of git-up is quite nice for the lazy shifter like me.

I think that Bob Wagner will send a "try out" unit if you ask nice.

I have the original Catcher programming so I can't give advice on the Smarty but the initial take off it provides is so nice.

Smarty all the way IMHO,it will only compliment what you have and when you tow--- run the lower settings. See if Bob Wagner will set you up with a trial.

MHagen,

Your truck impresses you with its current pulling power; just wait until you load Smarty, it will be a completely different truck, especially pulling the trailers!!!

I cant seem to get the concept of the smarty. From what I understand the Smarty turns the fuel on faster. I get the added fuel and timing of the EZ but doesnt the smarty do that also? Would I get rid of the EZ?

Mike

MHagen,

After you use the Smarty solo you will be wanting to sell the EZ. Not knocking the EZ, the Smarty is simply in a different league!

So I am correct in thinking the smarty will do what the EZ does but it turns on faster?

This means sell the EZ?

Mike

Sell the EZ... ... ... ... . Then buy the drag comp and let the fun begin!!!!!

Just did that 2 weeks ago and Holy Crap... . hold on!

I tried an EZ before I got my SMARTY, a friend of mine let me try his. I wasn't that impressed with the EZ. I got the SMARTY and WOW!!! It tows like a champ and my MPG went up as well. The only issue I have had is smoke. But I have a really heavy right foot. If you go a little light and watch the boost there is very little smoke. IMO the SMARTY ripped the doors off the EZ hands down. I would sell the EZ and get the SMARTY.
