Anyone running Amalgamated fuel additive?? I plan on running it in my new 2023 6.7. Used it in my 2005 and never had injector issues or any issues.

Haven’t heard anyone mention Amalgamated in a long time.

Plenty of folks are reporting frequent regen issues with additives on the newer trucks. I’d sick to only using additives for deliberate reasons, like anti-gel or Cetane when warranted.

I got started with Power Service 20 years ago and use it as directed on the bottle and if it really gets cold (-35 F) I put Power service Red in also, but I have also gone to using blended Diesel fuel when I can get it and two places here in Laramie WY have it but that is only when I read the weather forecast correctly. I have only gelled up 3 times in the last20 years and last month was the last time and I had not put blended fuel in it so Power Service RED saved the day.

I used it for a short time and saw no benefit. Yeah, good clean fuel and frequent filter changes should do it. I run some Exteme Diesel injector cleaner twice a year.

We have winter fuel here too but how reliable is it. Suppose to be a 50/50 blend . Have to use antigel. Never have gelled up but changed fuel filters one time in the winter and it was pretty waxed up. I had got some #2 from a tank and got lucky .it didn’t gel
