My Dad called me this afternoon to tell me about the MPG's he got in his new-to-him truck. His first tankful was half old fuel that was in the truck and half new. On that tankful he got in the low 18's. When he went to fill up next time, I gave him my extra Power Service in the white bottle and he said he put 6-8 oz's in the tank at fill up. He then proceeded to drive it and put 465 miles on it. It took a little over 22 gallons to fill up which equals 21+MPG's!!!!!!! That is a mix of highway and in town driving. Now while that is great MPG's I cant believe it on the Winter Blend fuel we get up North. I had told him that his truck would get better than mine as the pump isnt turned up and his transmission shifts into OD at like 45mph whereas mine shifts at 35. The best mpg's I've got w/my truck is 24mpg all highway driving. I just thought I would tell you all about this, as I know you guys/gals are the ones that can truly appreciate this. My Dad is now officially converted to Cummins. He liked mine well enough to get one, but now he is in love. He never got these MPG's w/any 1/2ton Fords or Rangers he's ever had. Cummins "Every Time" :)

Great MPGs

WElcome to the reason I wont drive anything else. I see no reason NOT to top 20mpg hwy with some conservatice driving, while still passing blue-haired Sunday drivers. I had a 91 D250, 3. 54, manual that averaged 22town/23. 5 hwy. Even with my current 91, I have repeatedly seen 22mpg at 60-65mph.

mpg

All of my 5spd 2wd trucks get 18 city and 22 to 26 highway..... When I dump filtered used atf or hyd. oil in the tank I alwaysd get better mpg... . Those oils have more btu's per gallon than straight diesel does... .
