Saw the injector puller at Cummins, decided to do something similar but better.

Use a 23mm deep well socket! The injector pulls into it nice as can be and it's the perfect height to clear the valves and rockers. Place socket above injector; drop bolt through socket opening, crank down the bolt to lift injector into the socket. Presto.

Mark,

I made a slide hammer puller for my 93 and it worked good. Used a 1/2" fine thread bolt and nut and a 1/2" drive large socket. Slide the socket on the bolt to act as a slide hammer, screw the nut onto the injector, screw the bolt into the nut. Give the slide a couple of "whacks" and the injector pops right out.

Jim Leonard also sells one that works great and I like to use it on #s 5&6 when doing a nozzle swap. Otherwise, I use the slide hammer tool from Snap-On. Ingenious idea, Mark.
