These look very expensive but I understand first rate.....Thoughts from anybody who has them.....I don't like loosing ground clearance with traditional step bars..

I have them and know many people that use and very much so abuse them, drag them on rocks, constantly forging water and what not with zero issues. Great product!!

They are a top shelf product backed by top shelf customer service and tech support. EXCELLENT design, engineering and fit and finish!!! Well worth the coin if you have it. NOTE: stay away from the similar looking but very much inferior power step made by Best Products.

I had my AMP steps installed by the dealer when I bought my '06 in May of that year. My wife and her sister talked me into having them installed and, once I overcame the sticker shock, I've never been sorry. They are fantastic, tucking up neatly underneath when the door is closed, and have a better spacing between the truck and ground than any others I've ever seen.
The passenger side failed to deploy twice since new but resumed functioning on their own the same day. I have about 110K miles on the truck now.

While I really do like mine, the only down side I have found is there is nothing to protect you from door dings when your doors are closed. No matter how far out you park someone will park next to you. Tube style bars at least keep others door off your metal.
