AMP Powerstep?

Hello all,

I'm considering installing the Amp Reasearch Powerstep on my '04. I've seen them on a couple of 3rd gens. & noticed they did not tuck all the way up. Can any of you you that have them explain why? I had them on an '05 Excursion PSD & you had to get on your knees & look under the truck to see them; they tucked way up.



Would it be possible to make a shim/bracket to make them tuck way up high? I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Like Bob says, they go up tight. You can't see it in the up position, even on a lifted truck. :-laf The only problem I have had, is driving in the snow for long periods of time they freeze in the up position. :{

Can't see mine either. They've been on nearly 2 years, since I picked up the truck from the dealer. See pics.

Thanks for the replies, fellas. I guess I'll be going ahead with the purchase. It was funny how the two Rams I saw had the steps in an almost halfway up position. Maybe there was something wrong with them? Anyhow, those pics look great, thanks again.

It is possible that the vehicles you've seen have the step extender. It gives an extra 2" drop to the step for lifted vehicles. I have the AMP steps as well, and they tuck exactly even with the body pinch seam and create a nice finished appearance.

I've been wanting these for a while, especially with my current suspension. Other's are always complaining about entry/exit of my truck (but I don't mind).



They always seem to be about $1200. I'm going to get them from Geno's.
