AMP Reasearch Power Steps for 2nd Gen

Anyone done this yet? The available Power Step model says for 2002 and up Dodge Rams. I really really want to put these on my 01. I am vertically challenged and have issues from a broken leg. I have to do a little dance to get in the truck that looks foolish. Nerf bars just look plain stupid to me. How different could the Power Step install be between 02 and 01?

Pretty much the same. The real kicker is the price. You really gotta need um to pay the $1200.

Just buy a set of the Kodiak steps and be done with it. They aren't as long and purdy as the AMP step but they work nice and a lot cheaper.

A little off topic here, but which Grovers do you have, where did you mount them, where did you mount the compressor and tank?

It is now more than a year since BKabe opened this thread and posted his initial question. Has anyone installed these on an '01 at this point? If so, can you tell us what alterations were needed in the install.
