Amsoil 75-90 Initial Report (better fuel mileage??)

If I paid 12. 00/quart at the store, how much is the difference with shipping? I figured it probly isnt that much difference, plus you have to wait for it. But maby it is a big differance in price?

With any lube in your LSD, do not forget to do several tight figure 8's after a change.


I have found out with shipping costs, the Amsoil usally comes in just under retail.
There are other ways to save more, though.

The dealer cost on the Amsoil 75w-140 is $9. 30/qt or $106. 20 for a 12 quart case. Shipping on a gallon would run you about $5. 00, or $1. 25/qt. Shipping on a case would be approx. $8. 00. You would also pay the sales tax on dealer cost, not retail ... .

I did exactly that however, my LSD was setup pretty tight at the factory so I required 1. 5 oz. of additional friction modifier (to date, . 5 oz. at a time). I used the new generation Mopar friction modifier.

BTW, I have Amsoil Series 2000 75W-90 in both differentials. I'm very pleased with the performance and fuel efficiency.
