I just had my NV4500 transmission rebuilt ay Standard Transmission in Ft. Worth.

They gave me Amsoil 80W-140 FGO for the transmission. I have allready put the oil in the transmission, but havent driven it yet. Is the oil applicable for the NV 4500?

I find it hard to believe that Standard Transmission gave you oil that would not be appropriate for the NV4500. What do you mean by "FGO"? I know 75W-90 works and I am using Amsoil Manual Transmission fluid in mine with no issues.

After talking to Standard transmission on Tuesday, they made a mistake. They indeed meant to give me 75W-90. They did make things right.

They are now using Amsoil instead of Syntorq. They probably need to change their website as it still shows Syntorq as the oil they provide for the NV 4500.

I am back in businesss after snapping my input shaft. Sounded like a cannon going off in the truck when it broke. :) :)
