Anyone know of a trusted shop in the Northern Virginia area?

Time to change oil. What's the deal on CK-4 oil?

Amsoil does not list the EAA189 filter on their website. I found one on ebay but it says it is not compatible with my truck.? Anyone have any info on this filter or any recommendations?

Looks like Amsoil has discontinued their OE replacement air filter line.

I tried a couple on my cars a while back and wasn't really impressed. I have been using the AFE Proguard Dry on my cars and have been happy. I did use the AFE Proguard 7 on my '96 with good results. I'm sticking with the Fleetguard stock filter on the '16 since it seems to be the best choice.

The EAA189 is a 2" pleat filter that I could very easily pull down with my stock turbo/stock cam.

I run the 4" OEM (Wix is the same) one and even at 415 rwhp with a larger turbo/cam I cannot move the filter minder on a new or even a filter with 20K miles on it and lots of dirt.

What kind of boost is it taking to suck down the filter minder? Or do you have a restriction going into the air box? The 4" filter can flow more than the single OEM opening can flow.

No restrictions, I have a stock air box with the volant intake scoop through the bottom, just like the home depot mod.
I can hit 40psi easy on the boost guage. Sometimes its not pulled down and sometimes it is. Could it be a faulty filter minder?

Stock turbo?

I had to return my Amsoil 'dry' filter [Amsoil: EAAU4091 Air Filter, micropore, dry & EAPF13 Pre-Filter sock; It's ID is 4" & I need 4.25"-4.5", returning same. Ordering dry filter from AiRaid, which should fit their own air box & flange.] because its ID was too small to fit previous AiRaid housing dia. Got my $$ back 'caus they said it would work.

Installed AiRaid Dry Filter Blue # 723-128 - Replacement Filter. Deciding to replace the Oiled Cotton Gauze type air filter way to late, but finally am. If one can "SEE" daylight in the gauze filter elements, then NO JOY for catching fine dust, eh. Many blogs supporting this. I let procrastinating get in the way of taking action. Apparently AiRaid has been offering dry replacement elements for a while.
