Well, I just had new tc/vb installed along w/trans temp gauge and Amsoil ATF+4 and towed a 3k boat up into the sierras to over 5k ft. The trans temp gauge never moved off the lowest temp reading.
Whether thats a result of the new vb/tc or the trans fluid, I don't know, but it impressed the **** out of me. I'm even thinking of going back to my mechanic to see if my trans temp gauge is working properly.

Amsoil just updated their ATF. It's universal again (no ATF +4).
