Steve:

A few members installed theirs off the battery on the drivers. I installed mine on the cross rail under the radiator. Had to drill holes to mount the bracket that holds the block for the filters and have had good results from that location. The only draw back from there is when you draw a sample for oil analysis the blow from the fan will not let the oil flow into the bottle. Turn the engine off and there is not enough oil to fill the bottle in the hose. I get it from the oil pan now.

Hope you find a location.

Just installed mine on the side of the pass side battery. mount was easy to make using the original hold down bolts, lotsa guys have put it here. Pull the turbo hose at filter change time and there is lotsa room, gotta use 90 deg elbows coming out of the filter mount to bring the hoses down.

Use 2 short 90's at the bypass and 2 at the adapter(engine) side to make the swing up. I used a bracket that replaces the battery hold down that has a flat plate on the side to bolt the system to. Its a cool set up. . gives plenty of room and will hold it solid. If you want I will take a picture of mine and send it to you. I bought the bracket from a dealer in Southern Ca. for $45. It had all the hardware that was needed to install it.
