It has been several days now since I installed the BMK-22. I have 2 by-pass filters (BP-90's) hung on the frame under the passenger side door plus a regular full flow filter (EaO-80) in the factory spin-on location under the hood.
I am getting no chimes or low oil pressure warnings of any kind. At this point, I "think" the twin BP-90's are keeping my oil cleaner than a single BP filter.
I bought some coiled plastic electrical conduit (Water Tuff) and used it as a protective sleeve over my 1/4" oil lines. I highly recommend this as a way to protect the oil hoses from chafing or misc. damage.
I was a bit concerned about the frame mounted filters getting hit by rocks or other road debris coming off the right front tire, so I made protective shields for them. I bought a 3 ft piece of 4" black plastic pipe at Home Depot and cut 2 pieces each about 7" long. Then I split them length-ways and took a section out of each of these pieces. What I ended up with were 2 pieces that were each about 2/3 of the original pipe's circumference x 7" long. I had to gently force each of these pieces on each BP-90 from the bottom-----I had to gently force the pieces open a little bit to get them to go over the filters. They fit nice and snug and cover the forward 2/3 of each filter. For a bit of extra security, I put 2 stainless hose clamps on each filter to make certain the "shields" would not fall off over time. This plastic pipe is schedule 40, with about 1/4" thick walls and tough enough that no rock is going to dent or break it and the rear 1/3 of each filter is still open to the air for cooling purposes.
