So I have read everything I could find on these things but where do most people mount them. I found an interesting passenger side battery mount from Ted Kidd but am wondering what is the norm.

Thanks
Ted

Ted, I believe most mount their Amsoil Dual Remote Bypass system off the passenger side battery. Me, I mounted mine off the back of the frame crossmember with a custom mount. The mount is actually a 10 degree wedge shaped "spacer" that allows both the full flow and bypass filter to have a downward cant of 10 degrees. This "spacer" fits between the frame and Amsoil remote filter mount. This was very carefully designed as there is barely enough room to accommodate this design; the top of the full flow filter barely clears the oil pan, the bypass filter barely clears the stabilizer bar (with enough excess to allow clearance under all conditions). The reason I went this way was because I wasn't able to use Ted Kidd's mount as my Air Bulldog induction components were in the way.

Check the archives for Dual Bypass mounts... there is a lot of information on this.

I have one that I am debating if I want to install. But when I get ambicious it is going infront of the drivers side tire up under the fender. So in order to change it you would have to crawl under the front bumper and reach up to turn it off. You can run the oil lines along the air-air hose going into the engine.

Ted. I have the first Ted Kidd mount sold [in fact a proto type]... I think it is a very well done bracket and does it's job very well

Hi gang, well I found somebody to make me the remote mount brackets to fit in our Rams on the right side battery. This is a very stout bracket, comes with holes predrilled for a single mount or the dual mount. I'm looking at selling these for around $50. 00US I'm also looking at plastic dipping these. The kits will come with the correct mounting hardware for either mount. I hope to have pictures on my website soon. I just want to make sure this guy can turn out enough brackets to keep everyone happy. I just can't stand to see someone pay over $100 bucks for a bracket. Cheaper, better. Email me if you have any questions.
