Hey everyone,

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy in there neck of the woods.

Has anyone used this product? It was recommended to me by a dealer near me and having done some research I haven't really found much on it.

It is an engine oil and or transmission flush fluid. For the engine you pour into the oil fill, idle the engine for 10-15 minutes and then allow time for the system to fully drain. Not sure how long that is or what is considered long enough. I usually wait 45 minutes for my oil to drain.

Product code : FLSHCN-EA

I used it once many years ago on a Toyota 22RE, not sure it did anything.

I wouldn’t bother on these motors, they don’t have a sludge issue if regularly serviced.

No, I have not.

I do not believe in flushing any component unless something has failed and there might be metal particles trapped in the failed component.

What are you gaining by flushing a major component that is protected by filters. I do not see any benefits in doing so. Just my opinion! Take this for what it is worth!

I had bought some for a sludged up 258 in a CJ7 I had bought. They had run it without a thermostat. I sold it before I got around to it. If I still have it you can have it for cost of shipping, once this insanity is over. I'll look in my archives today.

NO worries TFucili, I wasn't planning on using it as I the only system flushes I have ever had done are my brakes and power steering system. Brake was because I forgot to tighten the brake cap after an install and drove a week without the cap on before I noticed so I got a new cap and had the system flushed.

Power steering was because I had a stick punch a hole in my cooler return line and lost all the fluid at 1500 miles on the truck so I replaced with fuel hose and had the system flushed.

I was just curious about it since it was the first I've heard of it and thought it was weird.

My Dad was the first AMZ/OIL Dealer in WA. I have used their products since the early 70's. I believe they do have good products.

For YOUR truck there is NO WAY I would use on the engine or trans!!!!!

Engine, let your oil drain overnight and then fill with AMZ/OIL 15-40 Signature series
Signature Series Max-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil 15W-40
Product code : DMETP-EA and use either an AMZ/OIL EAO80-EA or Donaldson Blue oil filter.

Transmission, it's easy to do a fluid exchange to where you get ALL the old fluid out. Use OE filters and AMZ/OIL
Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid Product code : ATF1G-EA

Thanks Cummins12V98,

With my G56 I will be using the Amsoil MTG fluid for the next change. First up is the engine oil and then all the cooling stuff, ( upper and lower pipes, water pump, T-stat and fluids)

Pretty sure that transmission flush is only for automatics. I would never use any engine or transmission flush. Just use a quality lube for both. I like redline MT 90 in my g56.

I have preferred customer pricing (not sure how that is different than wholesale) with amsoil and buy my filters and some lubes there.

But my preference for my G56 is to use ester -based POE oil rather than PAO oil
.
My concern is that the PAO's in amsoil could (over time) shrink the seals causing leaks. Since my transmission lube only gets changed every 4-5 years, I chose Redline. It is a bigger production to change the transmission oil in the G56 because i like to remove the stick shift and pour in an extra quart through the top. And doing so means removing the center console above the shift boot.

Here is a couple examples, is your pricing any different?

Hey you G56 experts, I went with AMZ/OIL's 9.9 pint fluid refill and ordered 5 quarts of the Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 for a friends 13 DRW. Not even close to the fill hole! Really sucks because we had to go to NAPA and pay $4 per quart more than my cost. So it took 6.5 quarts to fill to where it was running out the fill hole. Truck was setting on my level shop floor.

I did a search online and came up with the same 9.9 pints. Seems way off to me!

I assume this should be ok as he does not tow heavy.
