Many a guy has been tricked by Amsoil with this tricky labeling.
I feel for it hook, line and sinker. "meets or exceed API specs" is an opinion from Amsoil. Not from the API. The donut from the API is not present on the bottle and the oil is not licensed or certified.
Broken record statement here: Its kinda like a Doctor saying he meets all the specs of medical school and he never actually went to college or passed any exams. Amsoil has graded their own term papers.
If the oil does not bear the marks I posted it is not API licensed.
