Maybe i'm a little dense, but after looking at the Amsoil broshure i am still not sure on how often to change my full flow filter.
It says to sample every 12500, but do i wait this long to change the full flow filter?
I have the Dual remote, and series 3000 oil.

Stick-I have the bypass setup also. Have about 25k on the oil and filters. I have my oil analized about every 5 to 6k. So far everything has been good. I have been wondering how far a guy can go with this. Have heard of 50 to 90k on same oil. I guess just add as needed. Maybe we can get some other input on this. It sure is nice not having to change in the middle of Canada etc. I am using the 15-40 HD diesel/Marine stuff. My truck seems to need a qt about 2500 to 3000 miles. It was that way using Rotella also. Guess it is just my engine.

Stick,
I have been using the Amsoil engine oil in my truck for ovwer 130,000 miles along with oil analysis every 10,000 miles. IN 105,000 miles I only changed the filters(both)two times. I have also taken many oil analysis samples for other Dodge owners, and in every case, used the oil analysis to determine the change interval for the filters as well as the oil. Have never had any problems doing this.

I would change main filter at 5K miles, by-pass at 15K. Just my opinion. Per Amsoil, you may want to go longer, I'd be nervous as heck... .

I agree with the above member. There is no way the Amsoil Fullflow filter flows as well as the Fleetguard engine mounted filter. The filter outlet is 1/4" smaller and there are a lot less inlet holes in the Amsoil filter as compared to Fleetguard. Combine that with the oil having to travel through 1/2" hose a total distance of 24" (To and from the bypass kit). That explains the lower oil pressure and i would not be comfortable leaving that Amsoil Full Flow on there for any longer then 10-15k miles. What flow is left would be hindered by any dirt. I wish they made there kit use the same filter as the Factory one. That would be a nice idea. Would also be cheaper.

I have the bypass stand alone AmsOil set up on my truck and run an AmsOil full flow filter in the stock location. I change the full flow every 7500 miles and the bypass at 15K. I have had this set up for 21K right now and have done 4 oil samples I did the first one to get a base line with 300 miles on the oil the next at 5K then at 10K and just did one at 20K. All of these have come back with super results. BTW I am running AmsOil 15W/40 right now.

Amsoilman-If I am reading your post correctly you changed only the filters twice in 105,000 and did not drain the oil. Just topped it off? With no problems.
