Amsoil Replacement Air Filter

Just installed the Amsoil 106 dual Stage foam air filter. My truck only has 3500 miles on it and likewise the stock air filter element. First drive with new filter was impressive. The turbo lag experienced with paper element is gone. Turbo whistle is more noticeable, but kinda comforting. Throttle response at highway speed 60 + + + + is also impressive. :--) Oo.

Not to be a smarta$$ - but to really notice significant ACTUAL performance increase, ya musta had a REAL poor or dirty STOCK air filter!



Past dyno experience, even when going from a stock air filter to NO air filter, is usually pretty marginal, unless other accompanying mods are also made...

While I won't make any claims of an increase in performance, the Amsoil filter has performed well for me. I have had excellent silicon numbers on analyzed oil using this filter. My most recent analysis showed 4 ppm silicon. To be fair, the BHAF showed 5 ppm, which is a very low number as well.



I use the Amsoil filter as my summer air filter. This gives me cooler charge air. I use the BHAF in winter when having a little warmer intake air is an asset.
