Very Unhappy with "Pro-Flo" Exhaust...

power and mileage

I have several quarts of unopened Amsoil 75W-90 gear oil on my shelf in the garage. I purchased a case when I was doing frequent fluid changes a couple of years ago, then fuel got outrageous and I drastically reduce the amount of miles I put on this vehicle.

Would these still be good to use? I know engine oils have many additives that break down with time, do gear oils?

Additives are generally depleted by their use, not sitting around waiting to be used. SO the answer is the oil is as good as the day it was put in the bottle.

My truck is Amsoil'd stem to stern and I have extra 75W-90 waiting to go into the diffs about this time next year.

I would simply shake them up and use them without worry... unlike conventional oils, there is really nothing to degrade.
