I know that the injectors on our truck are much more than a little "spicket" but I would like to understand exactly how they work and what is inside of the injector? Do they have moving parts?

Also, can you hear them "POP" when they inject fuel?

Thanks

Phil

The injector acts a pressure relief valve would. I know this is simplified but the nearest analogy I can think of. There is a spring in the injector housing and small "pop valve" in the nozzle, they move. The noise you hear is the VP44 making the required pressure. Listen to a 3rd gen truck and you understand what I mean. They have an electronic injection event. Same function, different trigger. Mike
