We've just added a video sharing service to the site! This has been in development since last summer and has been a huge project. It is fully integrated into our vBulletin system so you don't have to create a new user account to use it. If you look at my user name on the left of this post you'll see a video link there along with the photo gallery links - that video link will show up only if that person has videos and if you click on it you will be taken to that persons videos.
We beta tested this with staff and a number of users that volunteered to test for us (thanks guys!). Even though we've tested it as best as we can I FULLY expect that we're going to run into bugs. There is well over 100 hours of development time just from me to integrate this fully with our site so a lot of changes have been made and therefore a lot of opportunities for problems. Please let me know here if you run into any issues and I'll do my best to resolve it quickly. It is remotely possible that problems will arise that will require us to pull it back off line but I'm hoping that with the testing we've done that won't be necessary.
One very cool feature is that you can embed videos that you've uploaded directly into your posts in the forums if you wish. Look to the right of your video and you'll see an embed field, if you select that field and copy and paste that text into a post you'll get a video viewer in your post!
We really hope you guys enjoy this and please bear with us (me?) if we run into issues - thanks! If you have ideas for channels that we haven't put on there let us know and we'll consider them.
Keep in mind that guests can only view 60 seconds worth of video per day. Members have no limit at all.
One thing that needs to be mentioned is that there is a ZERO tolerance policy for inappropriate (copyright, obscene, etc) videos. Upload anything questionable and your ability to upload videos will be revoked - no second chances.
Enjoy!
