Annoying Front Seat "Play"

My 06 has had play since it was nearly new. Took it back to the dealer, and got the typical no problem found. However, the service guy said they all do that. I'm not surprised. I bought a Dodge... what should I expect?



On the other hand, many other brands actually have problems with play in the seats after some time (but not when new).

had that problem on my 95 the plastic guide between the seat rails split was replaced on myfull warranty

[/IMy seat ha the same problem turned out to be the gear box on the seat adjustment motor. Dodge does not sell just the motors and the whole seat slide asy was something like $460. I removed the worm screw and gear box and replaced it with a steel bar locking the seat where I likeed it.

My 03 is solid ~ maybe somwthing changed with later designs?

My 05 has it. Had the lower seat assy replaced around 50k cuz it rocked so bad. Now at 121k it is still there only not as bad. 6 way power seat.

Me too. I'm just past 100K and will just deal with it till I find decent replacement seats that are both MORE comfortable and heated.



Air ride would be nice.

Mine too... ... ... ..... BUT if I cycle it forward & back about 2 inches it goes away.

Not sure if you guys have the seat all of the way back like me though????
