2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission annoying squeak in left front door column

I have read reference to someone saying that the 3rd generation trucks don't have that squeak and rattle in the dash by youo left knee. Does anyone know what it is, where it comes from or how to fix it? It is like a ventriloquist to me. Thanks

Welcome to the TDR. My fix was 4 new Boston Pro Speakers and 2 Kicker subs and 3 amps. That seemed to do the trick



Try to lube the drive shaft at the "hinge" under the hood. This got rid of my most annoying squeek. I thought it was inside the cab too at the time.
